Swimming

We love Swimming in First flight!

Harakeke and Kopukapuka swim four afternoons a week and we are trying so hard to improve our swimming skills. Some of us are learning to become more confident in the water. We are learning to put our heads under the water, blow bubbles and move around the pool in different ways. Belinda had the time of her life at swimming on Thursday. Isn't she fantastic?

Mrs Absolom's group is growing in confidence every day. Here they are blowing film canisters from one side of the pool to the other. Awesome work!

Some of us are learning to float on our backs holding a kick board with long legs and straight arms.We are also learning to hold a kick board and kick with our heads in the water. Look how hard they are trying!

Look at these speedy guys!

  4. We are so lucky at WBS to have our own swimming pool where our children can have regular swimming lessons. You are obviously having fun while you are learning.
